Annual LVVN Attaché Network (LAN) Event 03 June 2026, The Netherlands

The 2026 edition of the LVVN Attaché Network (LAN), organized by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Safety and Nature, brought together agricultural attachés from Dutch embassies across the world in Amersfoort. This annual gathering offered a valuable opportunity for strategic discussions and the exchange of expertise.

The event took place in the remarkable setting of the Rijtuigenloods, a former railway station transformed into an industrial event venue. With its raw steel, concrete structures and historic wagons, the space reflects more than a century of history.

As the co‑founder of Connect Pro Afrique, I had the opportunity to speak for the second consecutive year with Mr. Ben Kubbinga, LVVN Agricultural Attaché for Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. His deep understanding of agricultural realities in both countries once again captured my full attention.

I also met Ms. Marleen van Ruijven, who will soon succeed him, as well as Ms. Núria Vlonk Cunha Soares, Managing Director of the Netherlands‑African Business Council (NABC).

These exchanges highlight a clear trend: the Netherlands is strengthening its commitment to Francophone West Africa, with a strong willingness to support Dutch companies in developing solid and sustainable partnerships in the region.
